Reds collectively and individually superb in victory over Aston Villa

Liverpool were collectively and individually superb as the Reds eased to a 3-0 win over a strong Aston Villa side at Anfield.

The Reds were in control from the off and took the lead through Mohamed Salah in the 18th minute. The Egyptian forward latched onto a through ball from Thiago Alcantara and finished coolly past Emiliano Martinez.

Liverpool doubled their lead in the 57th minute through Darwin Nunez. The Uruguayan striker headed home a cross from Andy Robertson to make it 2-0.

Luis Diaz added a third for Liverpool in the 82nd minute. The Colombian winger curled a shot into the top corner from the edge of the box.

The win sees Liverpool move up to second in the Premier League table, while Aston Villa remain in 16th place.
