Juventus Win Record-Extending 15th Coppa Italia
Vlahovic Strike Earns Bianconeri Victory Over Atalanta
Massimiliano Allegri's Juventus won their first major trophy in three years as they beat Atalanta 1-0 to lift a record-extending 15th Coppa Italia on Wednesday.Dusan Vlahovic scored the only goal of the game in the seventh minute after a mistake from Atalanta goalkeeper Juan Musso, before the Bianconeri held on for a narrow victory in Rome.
The win gives Juventus some much-needed silverware after a disappointing season in Serie A, where they finished fourth and failed to qualify for the Champions League.
It was also a special night for Allegri, who won his second Coppa Italia title as Juventus manager and his seventh major trophy overall with the club.
Juventus will now turn their attention to the Champions League final on June 26, where they will face Real Madrid in Cardiff.
