Record-breaking Kane fires Bayern to victory
England captain nets twice in Bundesliga win over Eintracht Frankfurt
Harry Kane has set a new personal best for goals in a season after scoring twice in Bayern Munich's win over Eintracht Frankfurt. The England striker netted in either half to take his tally for the campaign to 35, surpassing his previous high of 34 for Tottenham in 2017-18.
Kane's goals helped Bayern maintain their 10-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga table. The German giants are now just three wins away from securing a 10th consecutive league title.
Kane has been in impressive form since joining Bayern from Tottenham in the summer. He has scored 25 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions, including 10 in his last six games.
The 29-year-old's goalscoring exploits have helped Bayern stay on course for a treble this season. They have already won the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup, and they are also in the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal.
