YouTuber Arrested After Posting Video of Fireworks Being Shot at Lamborghini

WEB Choi, known as Alex Choi on YouTube, faces federal charges in connection with the video.

Choi, who has over 923,000 followers on YouTube and 12 million followers on Instagram, posted the video on June 24th.

The video, titled "Destroying a Lamborghini with Fireworks," shows two women aboard a helicopter vigorously blasting fireworks at the car, lighting up the sky as sparks fly. The video has since been removed from YouTube.

Choi, who directed the video, was arrested on June 28th and charged with one count of conspiracy to commit arson. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 5th.

The arrest was made by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The ATF said in a statement that the video "posed a clear and present danger to the public." The statement also said that the video "encouraged others to engage in similar dangerous and illegal activities."

Choi is a well-known YouTuber who specializes in car stunts and pranks. He has over 1 billion views on his YouTube channel. Choi's arrest is a reminder that even popular YouTubers are not above the law.
