Novak Djokovic has defeated Rafael Nadal in the men's singles final at the Paris Olympics 2024, winning his first-ever Olympic gold medal. Djokovic, the top seed, faced a tough challenge from Nadal, but ultimately prevailed in four sets, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2.

The match was a close one, with both players trading blows from the baseline. Djokovic, however, was able to break Nadal's serve in the first set and held on to win. Nadal broke back in the second set, but Djokovic was able to break again in the fourth set and serve out the match.

Djokovic's victory is a major accomplishment, as he has now won all four Grand Slams and the Olympic gold medal. Nadal, meanwhile, remains one of the greatest players of all time, with 22 Grand Slam titles to his name.

In the other men's singles semifinal, Carlos Alcaraz defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in five sets, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Alcaraz will face Djokovic in the final.
